Designed in-house, sold through your local dealer.

TruLight designs the hardware and the controlling app under one roof, then sells exclusively through a national network of certified dealers. Every dealer offers two paths: professional install or a DIY kit you build yourself with our install training videos. Every system carries a lifetime warranty, runs on a true 48V circuit, and is rated for 100,000 hours of operation.

Why TruLight

The technical decisions that separate TruLight from every other permanent lighting brand on the market.

True 48V system

Most competitors run 5V to 24V. A 48V circuit produces far more illumination, runs 300 feet on a single power source, and avoids the power-injection wiring that low-voltage systems force on every install.

6 LEDs per light, real RGBW

Three RGB LEDs plus three dedicated warm white LEDs in every light. Real warm white that flatters stone and stucco, not a blended approximation. Most competitors run 1 or 3 LEDs per node.

UCS7604 chip, 16-bit color

Sixteen-bit color depth means 65,536 grayscale levels per channel. The result is smoother dimming, truer color, and a real white light — not the 8-bit RGB approximation common in the category.

Lifetime warranty

Rated for 100,000 hours of continuous operation, then backed by a lifetime warranty on the hardware. Register your warranty in our portal in under two minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is TruLight?+
TruLight is a permanent outdoor LED lighting system that mounts under your eaves and behind trim. The lights match your trim color when off and produce 90 to 120 lumens per light at full brightness. Each light holds 6 LEDs running on a 48V system, controlled through a single app.
How long does the system last?+
TruLight LEDs are rated for 100,000 hours of continuous use. At average evening use of 4 to 6 hours per night, that translates to roughly 50 to 70 years of operation.
What is the warranty?+
TruLight carries a lifetime warranty on the LED hardware for systems professionally installed by a certified TruLight dealer. DIY kits installed by the homeowner are not covered. The warranty starts the day of installation, covers 100,000 hours of operation, and is non-transferable by default. Register within 30 days of installation to activate coverage.
Can I make my own patterns?+
Yes. The TruLight app includes 144+ pre-built motion patterns plus a custom pattern builder. You can save patterns, schedule them, and assign different patterns to different zones of your home.
Can I make my own accent lighting?+
Yes. Each light is individually addressable, so you can choose any color combination across the entire system, configure patterns, and tune brightness independently per light.
Can I save timers?+
Yes. Timers can be saved and synced to weather.com data so the lights turn on at sunset and off at a custom time. You can also set holiday-specific timers and override schedules from the app.
How many different colors and patterns can you do?+
TruLight uses a UCS7604 RGBW chip with 16-bit color depth. That equates to over 16 million colors plus dedicated warm and pure white modes. The app ships with 144+ motion patterns.
Can I make a soft warm white color?+
Yes. TruLight has 3 dedicated warm white LEDs per light, separate from the RGB LEDs. That produces a real warm white, not a blended approximation. RGB-only systems can only fake white by mixing red, green, and blue, which reads as cool or blue-tinted.
Can I control the front separately from the back?+
Yes. TruLight supports true global zoning. You can divide your home into independent zones that each run their own patterns, colors, and effects at the same time.
Can I install this myself?+
Yes. DIY install kits are available through your local TruLight dealer, and include access to the full install training video library. Most homeowners install at a pace of about 150 feet per day. Professional installation is also available through the same dealer. Note that the lifetime warranty applies only to systems professionally installed by a certified dealer, so DIY kits are not covered.

What Our Customers Say

I decided to invest in permanent holiday lights, and I'm so glad I did! The convenience of not having to hang or remove them each year is a game-changer. The lights are practically invisible during the day but look stunning at night, with tons of colors and patterns for every occasion, not just the holidays.

The system is easy to control via an app, so I can change colors or create effects in seconds. Plus, they're built to withstand all types of weather, and I haven't had any issues with wear or fading.

TruLight and the team are great! While the upfront cost is higher, the convenience and long-term use make them worth every penny. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hassle-free, year-round lighting solution!

We love our TruLights! They looks so amazing! Installation was longer than we expected but the install team covered every little detail. The convenience of never having to climb a ladder again is a huge win. Definitely worth the investment!
